Sony DSLR a350 Camera Problem?
I’ve had this camera for about two years. It’s been a great camera and i’ve never had any problems with it-until now.
It has recently started making a weird noise when turned on. It’s a sort of a buzzing noise, and the camera itself seems to shake a little. It happens every time I turn the camera on, and sometimes the noise/shaking lasts longer than it normally does.
I put my camera in cleaning mode, and wiped the mirror inside with a camera cleaning cloth, but it didn’t seem to help.
I figured i could live with the noise if it didn’t affect my pictures. But today, I geared up to take pictures of some flowers, and noticed that all my pictures were thrown off to one side. (For example, a picture of a flower that was supposed to be centered, showed the flower at the bottom of the frame.)
I would love to take it in, but the shop I bought it from went bankrupt and is now closed. So any help would be much appreciated.

You should never, ever touch the mirror or the sensor. Just use a blower to blow the dust out. If that doesn’t work, then you need to have it professionally cleaned.
If you put the camera into cleaning mode, the mirror flipped up and what you were wiping was the sensor. You must have shifted it off center when you were cleaning it and that is why your photos are shifted off center.
