I have a closet full of beautiful shoes that I never wear because they are just too painful to my feet. So unless you want to have feet covered in band-aids and blisters, find shoes with a little comfort. And don’t worry, finding stylish shoes which are comfortable is not impossible. It just may take a little more effort on your part. But it’ll be worth it in the long run. Trust me.

Only rich girls can afford to buy new shoes for every outfit in the wardrobe. If that’s you then stop reading right now and go buy another pair of Ferragamo heels. For the rest of us regular girls we need to be a little more practical. That means finding shoes that are versatile. Consider both the color and style and decide if the shoes can go with more than one of your outfits. A pair of black or brown shoes easily fit the bill. A nice pair of high heeled sandals can go with a dress or even a pair of jeans. That’s sounds like versatility to me.
Buying versatile shoes is never more important than when you are buying expensive designer shoes. Needless to say a $20 pair of sandals from PayLess isn’t going to matter that much. However, if you’re spending more than $400 for amazing heels, you are going to want every chance to show them off. And I doubt you’ll want to wear the same clothes every day. So do your best to get a pair that go with a number of your favorite outfits.
One last suggestion when shoe shopping is to steer clear of super trendy stuff. Try to go for shoes that are classic and always in style. Otherwise your hot new shoes may be out of style before you even wear them. That’s the problem with trends. Only the rich can afford to buy into them as each new season rolls around. For everyone else, we need to stick with what will probably stay in fashion for many seasons to come.
