I’m going to re-zero my rifle this weekend…?
This is a .308 weighing ( I added some weight to the stock ) 10.5 lbs. The center of mass is right before the trigger guard.
What bench rest scheme will yield the most accurate zero:
1. Dual sand bags.
2. Gun in a dual vice mount stand ( immobilized at forestock and before trigger guard )
3. Gun in a single rear vice with forestock free floating on a stand pad.
4. Either of the vice stand configurations with the stand weighted down with an additional sand bag underneath the gun and on top of the stand.

I have forever used the sand bags and have had great results with those. I think the rest of em are a waste of money. Learn to shoot off the bags, and when hunting use your pack.
