Nikon speedlight sb-400 with Nikon d50?
I’ve been reading something about the sb-400 speedlight flash only working on manual with the d40.
Does that mean that you can only control the flash manually on a d40? Or that you can only use the camera body on manual with the d40?
I guess I want to know if I can use my d50 on manual mode with the SB-400 on it.
And if it means just the flashs’ manual option, how important is it to be able to use a flash manually?

The fact is only the D40 can control the SB-400 manually. That is why most of us use the SB-600
