Why do people prefer the to have the iPod name alone when other music players offer so much more for less?
I do have an iPod but it’s the shuffle so I wasn’t planning on getting a whole lot I just needed something to play all my music on.
But many other mp3 players like the Walkman, iRiver, Zune and even the PSP, which plays games unlike the iPod, all for a cheaper price than the iPod which doesn’t have like radio, wireless music buying, and other things.
Is it just to have that shiny iPod brand name and design in your hand?
I am aware many people consider the Zune a ripoff of the iPod but it’s better in many ways except for design and software.
Actually Pam i love the iPod but its games are not as good as other handhelds and most of them could not be considered games but more widgets. I wasn’t bashing the iPod I was just trying to make a point.
I personally do like shiny metallic products but not if it will cost me $50 more than I have to pay.
The only ones of those I’ve seen available in my area (and I work at Best Buy even mind you) are the PSP, Zune, and Ipod.
The Zune has a horrible design, and horrible software IMO. They are about the same price as an Ipod, and offer no advantages- Thus I did not buy one.
The PSP plays off of a memory stick- Very limited in song amounts, and in general it does not have that great of quality.
Find me another MP3 player that will hold 80Gs + of memory, because I find myself needing all that space.
Either that or find me something that has all the features available on the new Ipod Touch (those are pretty spiffy, just needs a bit more memory for my tastes).
